Is there anyone on here into Hammig flutes? I know Benny and Andres are. I remember seeing them a lot in London in the 80's but my head was into Japanese flutes back then specifically Muramatsu. I recently bought a plated 60's Hammig that I had restored and it plays beautifully..I really like it. It has a lot of volume and is responsive but will take the air. I think it is a 440 pitch as it seems to tune with a slight pull out of the head.
The quality and detail of these flutes is extraordinary .they are handmade with great attention to detail...I would love to go the Hammig workshop . I'm intrigued to get a solid silver one despite my recent bad Ebay experience and am on the hunt. I'm also going to get one of their piccs...they seem much more available than the flutes in the UK. They don't have a UK outlet I asked. Comments are closed.
